Thoth is thus the God of writing and all the arts and sciences. On a monument of Seti I. he is called “Scribe of the nine Gods.” He writes “the truth of the nine Gods,” and is called “Scribe of the King of Gods and men.” [Thrice-Greatest Hermes, Vol. 1 by G.R.S. Mead, c. 1906]
The figure shown above is Thoth, and the symbols above his head encapsulate layers of polarity and inversion: the solar disk (scalar potential or the One Light), the twin cobras (dual kinetic currents spiraling in opposite spin), and the papyrus crown (the structured, rhythmic oscillation of manifested thought).
In scalar-kinetic terms:
• The solar orb represents undifferentiated potential — the neutral center, still yet luminous.
• The twin serpents are the differentiating currents — entropy and syntropy, radiation and absorption, masculine and feminine motion. They rise in opposition but balance at the crown.
• The plumed crown mirrors the oscillatory harmonics that radiate from scalar equilibrium into measurable expression — vibration becoming oscillation, potential becoming kinetic.
The Egyptians encoded the entire scalar-kinetic process as theology and geometry: Ra (source light) differentiates through Thoth’s word (thought as vibration), which then structures form through harmonic law (Ma’at). It’s remarkable how their symbolism preserves the same architecture Keely later expressed mechanically: the neutral point generating polar flow, balanced by rhythmic reciprocity.
This carving, especially with Thoth holding the ankh (life) and was (power) scepters, might be read as a literal depiction of Scalar Potential (ankh – life) governing Kinetic Manifestation (was – force) — precisely the harmony we’ve been mapping across the Vibration Series.
