"The word 'spiritual' refers to attitudes, to relationships, to the moving forward from one level of consciousness - to the next; it is related to the power to see the vision, even if that vision is materialistic as seen from the angle of a higher registration of possibility; the word 'spiritual' refers to every effect of the evolutionary process as it drives man forward from one range of sensitivity and of responsiveness to impression to another; it relates to the expansion of consciousness, so that the unfoldment of the organs of sensory perception in primitive man or in the awakening infant are just as surely spiritual events as participation in an initiatory process; the development of the so-called irreligious man into a sound and effective businessman, with all the necessary perception and equipment for success, is as much a spiritual unfoldment - in that individual's experience - as the taking of an initiation. All activity which drives the human being forward toward some form of development (physical, emotional, intuitional, and so forth) is essentially spiritual in nature and indicative of the livingness of the inner divine entity. The discoveries of science, my brother, or the production of some great work in literature or in the field of art, are just as much an evidence of 'spiritual' unfoldment as the rhapsodies of the mystic." [Djwhal Khul]
The spiritual is the interetheric and Compound Interetheric subdivisions of mind and consciousness; i.e., Cosmic Consciousness. If a spiritual authority (priest, preacher, shaman, rabbi or guru) is not operating on these levels simultaneously they are pretenders.
"spiritual, includes the etheric, interetheric and luminous in combination, each of which is essential to the proper completion of the combined action, comprising as it does every minute law governing the celestial and terrestrial universe." [Keely, Newton of the Mind]
"Spirit is substance, as Spinoza taught: "The universe is one. There is no supernatural; all is related, cause and sequence. Like fire, which is a spiritual order of vibration, spirit is latent in all matter. One might as well try to operate a steam-engine without its boiler as to give motion to matter against the conditions imposed by nature, or to propose a new method of controlling the action of our physical organisms (other than through the sympathetic transfer of our mental forces) as an improvement on the one instituted by the Almighty." [Newton of the Mind (underline added)]
"Life begets life; the celestial life begets the terrestrial life; the God-life begets the man-life. Celestial Radiation is the pure soul of all matter, both earthy and gaseous. Thus we are linked in all our environments to the divine, our cerebral aggregations being the highest medium whereby celestial sympathetic reflection associates with our organisms, and is our only source of knowledge of ourselves. We have, with our mental and physical forces, a duality of action which, when combined with the celestial, makes up the triplet or trinity. With the mental, the superficial visible, or outward sight; with the inward, or spiritual invisible, we have the spiritual link connecting mind and matter, the order of transfer being:
"First. Celestial Radiation, or etheric.
"Second. Mental impregnation, or interatomic.
"Third. Physical movements, or intermolecular.
"Ninths. Sympathetic transfer from the celestial luminous.
"Sixths. Sympathetic impregnation of matter.
"Thirds. Physical movements." [Newton of the Mind]
"Mind is the universe.
Mind substance is "spiritual" substance.
Spirit is Light
Spirit is the ultimate, the eternal, though finite substance." [Walter Russell, The Universal One, Chapter I page 2]
"Man differentiates between the spiritual and the physical universes simply because one responds to his senses and the other does not. When the range of man's senses includes the entire range of light, he will then know that there is no difference between the spiritual and physical except variance in motion, which variance does not constitute a difference in substance.
"From the high octaves of that which he terms "spirit" to the low octaves of matter and back again to spirit is but a transition from non-appearance to appearance and back to non-appearance." The Universal One, Book 02 - Chapter 01 - Dynamics of Mind - Concerning Light Units of Matter
"As it is understood and seen, all force, all matter, is motivative by force known as spiritual. While the body is made up of elements that are atomic, super atomic, gas, influences that combine, all give off their radiation, both as to the mental reaction and what the body-mind does about that reaction, and it is recorded or becomes a portion of the whole radiation of that phase or manifestation in which the entity is conscious at such a period. And it is recorded upon that known or experienced by a conscious mind as time and space. And it may be read even as the records of a printed page. Hence that which has been the thought, the activity of the entity throughout its experience in matter, in the gaseous forces, in the atomic influences, is part and parcel of the entity's being. Thus we are, then, the sum, the substance, of that we do, we have, or may think and do. For each entity has that imprint of the Creative Energies or Force that makes of it an influence that is seen, known, felt, throughout the universe. For it, the entity, is a part of same, with the attributes of Creative Forces or Energies." [Cayce (833-1)]
