The One That Becomes The Many
In the beginning was only God, One without a second. God thought to Himself: Let Me be many, let Me grow forth. Thus out of Himself God projected the universe; and having projected out of Himself the universe, God entered into everything in it. There is nothing that does not come from God. Of everything God is the Inmost Self. God is the Truth; God is the Supreme Self. And You are That! You are That! [Chandogya Upanishad]
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Through him all things came to be, and not one thing had its being but through him. . . . And the Word became flesh and dwells among us.” [John 1:1, 3, 14]
“In the beginning was Brahman, with whom was the Word, and the Word was truly the Supreme Brahman.” [Vedas]
