This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at the office of the Association, Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 28th day of May, 1941, in accordance with request by those present.

1. GC: You will have before you the Glad Helpers Prayer Group, members of which are present in this room. You will consider their work and study on the endocrine system of the human body, answering the questions they submit, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the group as gathered here, as a group and as individuals; also their work and study on the endocrine system.

3. As we have indicated, - much study, much meditation is needed here. Much has been given. As it is better understood, papers may be prepared on same which would prove not only interesting but most beneficial.

4. Continue with the study of same.

6. (Q) Are the following statements true or false: First, - Saul, the son of righteous Kish, in the latter part of his life chose evil. It was the exercising of his own choice rather than environmental or hereditary conditions.
(A) Correct.

7. (Q) God made the mineral, vegetable and animal kingdoms, then out of these He made man and breathed into him the breath of life. Adam, who at that period was devoid of any of the spiritualized cells of the physical body, had a stronger urge to revert to physical desires.
(A) Yes and no. Consider that, whether it is mineral, vegetable or animal, these are spiritualized in that ability of using, doing, being all that the Creator had given them to do.

Hence man was given that which is NOT a part of mineral, vegetable or animal kingdoms; though man, by man, is considered of the animal kingdom. WILL - with the environmental forces and the spiritual negative in the serpent - acceded to desire, to become and to experience IN that kingdom of influence. This brought the acceptance, by man's own will.

8. (Q) The mother of Jesus in being a channel for material desires was making practical her spiritual activities.
(A) Correct.

9. (Q) It would be well for prospective parents to learn the lessons illustrated by the lives of Samuel, Saul, Samson, Joseph, Jesus, etc.
(A) It would be well.

10. (Q) Instruction regarding the endocrine glands should be given to the parents of coming generations.
(A) Correct.

11. (Q) It is the spiritual activity within the body of the parents, or the lack of it that determines the influence predominant in the life of their child.
(A) This is true.

12. (Q) Anger causes poisons to be secreted from the glands. Joy has the opposite effect. The adrenal glands are principally involved, reacting through the solar plexus to all parts of the body.
(A) The adrenals principally, but ALL of the glands are involved; as: A nursing mother would find that anger would affect the mammary glands. One pregnant would find the digestive glands affected. The liver, the kidneys and ALL glands are affected; though it is correct that the reaction is PRINCIPALLY through the adrenals.

13. (Q) As the shape or form of the embryo begins to find expression, the growth of the spiritual being gives its expression through the channels of the aerial.
(A) It gives EXPRESSION through the channels of the aerial, but arises from the lyden Leydig? - to be sure.

14. (Q) Medical Science calls the glands at the base of the brain Pituitary and 3rd eye Pineal. Why have these names been reversed? Please explain.
(A) Their activity indicates that, from the angles of this study, these should be reversed.

15. (Q) Meaning we should reverse ours, or that Medical Science should?
(A) To understand what is being given, reverse them! We are not telling Medical Science what to do! We are telling YOU what to do!
