Eugene Sayan is a U.S.–based technology entrepreneur best known as the Founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive Officer of Softheon Inc., a cloud-software company focused on healthcare technology solutions that streamline enrollment, billing, and administration for health plans and government programs. He has more than three decades of experience in technology, including earlier work leading big data and process management initiatives for Fortune 1000 companies and a tenure at IBM before founding Softheon around 2000. Sayan holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and telecommunications and a master’s in computer science, and he serves on several boards related to technology and innovation.
His connection to the Tesla Science Center at Wardenclyffe stems from significant philanthropic support: a major donation from Sayan helped fund the Eugene Sayan Visitor Center, the first phase of the redevelopment of Tesla’s Wardenclyffe laboratory site in Shoreham, New York, into a museum, science education center, and innovation hub. The visitor center — which broke ground in 2023 and is expected to open with exhibition and educational space — bears his name in recognition of his contribution toward its construction and the broader capital campaign for the site’s restoration and transformation.
