Your Wonder Basket. Over the years, as I endeavor to teach SVP, I find there is one issue that inhibits learning new material. That is the putting of what is already known into the mix of the new unknown yet to be learned material. As far as SVP goes this is like trying to cram 10 pounds of flour into a 5 pound bag. What to do is put new information that may be questionable into your Wonder Basket where it can be taken out from time to time to be wondered over. The existing already known information needs to be set aside (not discarded) while the new material is considered on its own merits without interference from the old. In this way the new has a chance of coming together before it gets discarded out of hand as so many have done.
